Summer is just the best, isn't it? Well, I suppose it's easy for me to say that, as the weather in Melbourne this summer hasn't been too hot. It's been the perfect temperature for being outside, exploring the city or going for a trip to the beach. Personally though, I love the moments on the weekend after I just wake up. There's so much promise for the day, and after pouring myself an enormous cup of tea and looking out at the sun rising over the tree in my backyard I feel like I could do anything.
summer morning: smelling the beach before you can see it / daydreaming / tea on the windowsill / light streaming through curtains / bare feet / lace and cotton / the secret garden / a breakfast of mangoes and berries / diary pages / quietness / watercolours
summer morning tunes
Little darling, I try
Oh at least I look on the bright side
I'll break it to you gently
We were born with sun in our teeth and in our hair
When we get bored we like to sit around, sit around and stare
At the mountains, at the birds, at the ocean, at the trees
We have fun, we have fun, we have fun when we please
Sold, I'm ever
Open ears and open eyes
Wake up to your starboard bride
Who goes in and then stays inside
Oh the demons come, they can subside
