Get Ready With Me for New Years Eve

I know this is more of a Youtuber thing, but you know what? It's New Years Eve, and why not end 2014 with a break in tradition?

I'm not usually one for a big NYE (and this year is no different), but it's still fun to put my face on and wear a short skirt (again, not much different from my usual look, but you know what I mean).

I kicked the afternoon off with my new Aesop Primrose Facial Cleansing Masque, just to get my face feeling nice and clean. I've found that their Parsley Seed Masque gets a bit more promo on beauty blogs, perhaps because it comes in the iconic metallic tube. The Primrose Masque is more suited to my skin type (normal to oily), so I took a chance and picked it up.

My first impression is definitely a positive one, as my face felt incredibly soft and smooth after taking it off after 15 minutes on my face. Unlike other masques I've used previously, my face didn't feel completely dried out; it actually left it feeling fresh and glowing, with all the oiliness gone. The product also smells divine, which is a definite bonus.

Next up we have the make up. Now, I'm not going to do a step-by-step here because I can barely do my eyeliner perfectly symmetrically at the best of times, let alone trying to take photos of myself while doing so. Suffice it to say that the Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner has changed my life and I'm never looking back.

Finally, let's take a look at what I wore.

Gorman skirt / Topshop blouse / ASOS shoes

How amazing is this skirt? I bought it today as Gorman had 20% off for 24 hours only, and I knew I had to have it. Katy Perry recently wore the same print while she was here in Australia last month, so I think I've got a good thing going here.

The Topshop blouse has become a staple in my wardrobe ever since I bought it about a year ago. It's slightly cropped, and quite light so it's perfect for summer.

And just because this skirt is so awesome, let's take a closer look at it! The print is called "Mine! Mine! Mine!", which is a cute reference to the seagulls in Finding Nemo.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve, and see you in 2015!
